Be age 18 or over (or have completed high school).
Be willing and able to fully participate in the program.
Demonstrate ability to function independently within the college setting.
Have sufficient receptive and expressive language skills and memory to follow instructions.
If candidate has seizures 鈥� must have seizures under reasonable control.
Be free of blatant psychoses and/or behavioral problems.
Be free of dependency on non-prescription drugs.
Complete ACCESS application for services after ABIP intake appointment.
Once a student has completed the program, they are not eligible to repeat it. You
can meet with us to discuss recommendations, feedback, and resources for other programs
or classes at Mt. SAC. If you continue as a Mt. SAC student you are welcome to use
the Accessible Technology Center (ATC) for academic support in LRND-2, ATC website.
Verification Requirements
Primary verification of brain injury needs to be by a medically-based physician, psychologist,
speech-language pathologist, or occupational therapist. Medical records are sufficient.
