Benefits of NUANCE
- Social skills training with the PEERS model:
- One on one peer mentoring
- Identify a social and academic goals
- Work with a interdisciplinary team of an ACCESS Counselor, Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapy, and Psychologist
- Support from the NUANCE Team for over a year while enrolled in credit classes
- NUANCE students are more likely to use academic support centers
- Improve time management skills
- Workshops topics include: dating, electronic communication, sleep hygiene, handing disagreements, etc.

-Transferring to CPP as Early Childhood Studies Major
-Ally has been at Mt. SAC for about 2 years
-Anything to share about ASD: "if you've met one autistic person, you've only met
one autistic person. We're all very different. We can't be reduced to simple terms
of stereotypes."
-Fun fact: My younger brother inspired me to work in Education.

-Transferring to CPP as a Visual Communication/Art Major
-Ashley started at Mt. SAC in the Summer of 2019
-Anything to share about ASD: "it was harder to adjust... but I learned study skills
and now I'm doing well. Got the hang of things."
-Fun fact: I do martial arts. I like going hiking and biking with my family.
