This certificate prepares students for entry-level positions within the field of criminal justice. Students will聽learn about the history, structure and functions of the American justice system. Topics also include criminal聽law, history and structure of law enforcement, police and the law, courts system, trial processes, punishment聽and sentencing, jails and prisons, juvenile justice, and interrelationship between law enforcement, courts,聽and corrections. Course serves as preparation for high school students, adult re-entry students, or general聽student population seeking entry-level employment in criminal justice. Upon completion of this program,聽students will earn a Certificate of Completion in Criminal Justice.
