The Fine Arts lead to many directions for specialization. We expose students to a wide range of creative, critical making and thinking. Students develop visual literacy while learning to actively engage challenges. We ask students to be open-minded and embrace discoveries that may unlock new, rich contexts, experiences and understanding.

Art Gallery
Mt. SAC is one of the few California community colleges operating a professional Art Gallery featuring the finest works of renown artists. Since its inception in 1954, the Gallery has consistently presented traditional and contemporary art that nurture pluralist values and traditions and address broad, multicultural issues and concerns that examine historical and cultural influences.
