Our mission is to train students for success as future professionals by striving for
the highest levels of musical excellence, acting with integrity in every interaction
and performance, supporting one another as a team and band family, and representing
our college with pride in both local and national communities.
At Mt. SAC, we strive to create a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment
for every member of the Mt. SAC Band program. We are a band community dedicated to mutual support, musical excellence, and artistic
meaning.
We are a team. We lift each other. We challenge each other to be excellent鈥攂ut never
at the cost of someone鈥檚 dignity or safety. Every member of the Mt SAC band community
is valued and respected for their contributions. We work together to reach shared
goals.
The Mt SAC Wind Ensemble performs both on and off-campus throughout the year. Recent
peformance trips include Hawaii and a Northern California tour. Recent concerts include
performances at Sonoma State University, Pearl Harbor, and the University of Hawaii.
The Mt SAC Wind Ensemble meets MW, 11:30am-1:50pm, during fall and spring semesters.
We also meet intermittently during the winter intersession. We have occasional night
rehearsals, and events throughout the semester (usually 1-2 per month).
