Applied Lessons
-
Students enrolled in ensembles can take private lessons with a master teacher trained on their instrument. Applied music faculty at Mt SAC represent the highest levels of professionalism and artistic achievement, with credentials ranging from the LA studio scene to symphonic ensembles, touring chamber groups, and more. Our outstanding faculty guide students through learning new skills, performing challenging repertoire, and becoming a better musician!
Lessons are required for music majors, and highly encouraged for non-majors! Students benefit from 14 hours of one-on-one instruction per semester, with 5 studio classes scheduled at regular intervals, to give students the opportunity to perform in front of an audience of peers.
Lessons are a supportive and welcoming environment geared toward making you the best musician you can be!
