Chinese Cultures Workshops

Mt. SAC will host the college鈥檚 first Chinese Cultures and Histories Workshop on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 18 and 19.

Shana Brown, a Fulbright Scholar from the University of Hawaii, will present 鈥淲hy Study China Now?鈥 on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 1:15 鈥 2:30 p.m., in the Design Technology Center auditorium, building 13-1700.

Stanley Murashige, faculty emeritus from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, will present 鈥淐hinese Landscape Painting: Nature and the Realization of Personhood鈥 on Thursday, Oct. 19, 9:45 鈥 11 a.m., in the Design Technology Center auditorium, building 13-1700.

Peter Hershock, Director of the Asian Studies Development Program at the East-West Center in Hawaii, will present 鈥淰irtuosic Human Becoming: Chinese Ideals of Personhood鈥 on Thursday, Oct. 19, 1:15 鈥 2:30 p.m., in the Design Technology Center auditorium, building 13-1700.

The campus ANNAPISI Program will screen 鈥淒igital Stories鈥 and the Arise Program and International Student Center will present a panel discussion on Thursday, Oct. 19, 3 鈥 4 p.m., in the Design Technology Center auditorium, building 13-1700.
