Wait Lists

If a class you want to take is full when you register, you can add yourself to a wait list for that class when you register. If you're not sure how to register for classes, visit How to Add Classes. If you already know how to register, the steps below will explain how to add yourself to a wait list.

How to add yourself to a wait list:

  1. Using your username and password, log in to your Mt. SAC Portal
  2. Locate the Student Self-Service card
  3. Click on Registration
  4. Select #4. Register (Add or Drop) Classes
  5. Select Register for Classes
  6. Select a term…
  7. Click on Continue
  8. Select Enter CRNs tab
  9. Enter CRN (Course Reference Number)
  10. Click on Add to Summary (An error message will appear)
  11. Locate Summary box
  12. Locate Action column
  13. Verify/Select Wait List
  14. Click on Submit
  15. Locate Status column and verify Waitlisted 

When an opening is available for that class, you will be notified via your Mt. SAC email account. You have 72 hours from the time that email is sent to enroll in the course.
